a tuscan jewel

This suggestive setting is host to a historic dwelling owned by the Istituto per il Sostentamento del Clero of the Diocese of Pisa. Its renovation has made it an absolute gem of a house in which Pierpaolo Savorelli, a manager in the clothing industry, took up residence to satisfy his dream of living in Tuscany for most of the year.
In addition to the part of the house reserved for the family, the Bed & Breakfast section has three rooms, each with its own distinct atmosphere, named after Pierpaolo’s daughters.
The ‘Carlotta’ Suite, consisting of two double rooms, the ‘Carolina’ Junior Suite, dedicated to an imaginary romantic bride, and the ‘Francesca’ Double or Twin Room offer different kinds of comfort but always the same magic. Helene Rosellini, student of the Parisian school of Beaux Arts, has furnished each room with a special touch of sophistication and has also restored many of the objects and items of furniture in the house to their former glory.
The Sosta del Pellegrino is located on the road that leads from Pietrasanta to Valdicastello, which passes in front of the house where Giosuè Carducci was born. The nearby town of Pietrasanta, a beautiful centre of internationally renowned art and culture, can comfortably be reached on foot or by bicycle. This medieval town - of which Botero is an honorary citizen - is home to many world-famous painters and sculptors and hosts a year-round art show (see www.comunedipietrasanta.it). Located in the heart of the Versilia area, we’re just a few miles from the Apuan Alps and the Garfagnana region. Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio and Marina di Pietrasanta, which overlook the Tyrrhenian Sea, are, together with Pisa, Lucca, Siena, Florence and the Cinque Terre, just some of the places that can be visited. Those fond of Tuscan cooking can enjoy both the delicious fish delicacies of Versilia and its traditional salamis and soups.
Wine, cheese, olive oil, bread and barbecued meats can be enjoyed in a host of local osterie and enoteche, ranging from the most sophisticated to the most historic. And Pierpaolo looks forward to revealing even more local secrets so that you can enjoy exploring and eating in full and make the very most of this unique rest and relaxation experience.

we look forward to greeting you
